Forward-looking water supply plans
Regional water supply plans identify the measures needed to guarantee an adequate and cost-effective water supply in the long term. They focus on ensuring water quality, safeguarding supplies in the face of exceptional events, preserving the value of existing infrastructure and optimising economic efficiency.
HOLINGER's work in the area of regional water supply planning has resulted in guidelines that serve the canton as a basis for granting groundwater concessions and approving water procurement projects, while also assisting municipalities in their own municipal water supply planning.
Our tasks
After an initial inventory of all municipal water supplies in a region, HOLINGER prepared a technical report that included an overview of the region's water supply, water balances and measures. In addition, HOLINGER prepared hydraulic diagrams and plans showing the ACTUAL versus PLANNED status.
