Realization or implementation of flood protection
According to the hazard mapping of natural hazards on the right side of Lake Zurich and the natural hazard action plan, the Feldbach in Hombrechtikon between Feldbachstrasse and the confluence with Lake Zurich has flood protection deficits.
The municipality of Hombrechtikon has entrusted HOLINGER AG with the mandate to revitalize and flood-proof the Feldbach.
Since the beginning of this year, we have been working on the realization and implementation of flood protection on the Feldbach in the Feldbach district, as well as the simultaneous implementation and elimination of ecological and landscape deficits. In addition to the flood-proof expansion, the entire project perimeter will be made safe for fish migration (opportunities for lake trout to ascend).
In the settlement area, the existing stream channel will be rerouted. For this purpose, new natural stone walls will be built in line with the existing SBB viaduct. This means that the requirements regarding the protection of the townscape can be met.
In the section downstream of the Seestrasse to Lake Zurich, ecological upgrading was carried out with the construction of crossbars, groynes and the installation of predatory trees.
Our tasks
Study of variants or preliminary project up to and including implementation project incl. hydraulic calculations, monitoring of groundwater flow, static calculations of the new embankment walls and bridges, coordination of the creation of disposal and contaminated site concept, coordination of SBB track and viaduct monitoring as well as construction management activities.
