Power production for own consumption

Photovoltaic (PV) systems are being installed on flat roofs as part of the Basel wastewater treatment plant expansion. The PV modules have a combined maximum output of 500 kW and will produce around 470,000 kWh of electricity per year. This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 100 Swiss households. The electricity produced will be used exclusively for on-site consumption, enabling the Basel wastewater treatment plant to produce around 7% of its annual electricity requirements.

Our tasks
