Drinking water reservoir with local flair
The new drinking water reservoir and treatment plant in Arzo/Mendrisio (Ticino) comprises a reservoir, a cast-in-place concrete dam, two storage reservoirs and a dry chamber with water treatment facilities. Constructed in local Arzo marble, the buildings blend harmoniously into the landscape.
The reservoirs are watertight and have appropriately sized and ventilated access doors. In addition, two separate pipelines were installed: one for conveying untreated water and one for distribution. A switch box, cable shafts and drains were also part of the project. The reinforced concrete project for the tanks was created using Revit 3D software.
