Sufficient drinking water, even in times of drought

In the "Ai Ronchi" area near Riva San Vitale, HOLINGER is planning a new treatment plant for water from Lake Lugano. It will compensate for regional water shortages during droughts and provide an alternative, local source of water. With an ultrafiltration plant, ozonation and filtration with granulated activated carbon, the plant will be able to supply an average of 18,200 m3 of drinking water per day with a maximum quantity capacity of 25,000 m3. The choice of the best treatment chain was supported with a pilot plant. The project was realised entirely in BIM 3D.
