Clearing lead from the subsoil of a shooting range

Extensive remediation

The Hirsried shooting range in Laupen (BE) had to be partially remediated to remove lead that was appearing in an adjacent stream. As the work perimeter encompassed a flood protection area, forest and agricultural zone, the remediation supported by HOLINGER required preparatory work such as forest and rock clearance. Furthermore, extensive civil work was required, such as the construction of a flood protection dam, triage areas and temporary construction slopes.
