As part of an assessment of the condition of the existing
Rütihard reservoir, the decision was taken to build a new reservoir. After the demolition of two existing chambers, the new reservoir with a total chamber volume of 3 700 m3 was built on the same site. At the same time, the excavation pit was dug and a nail wall was erected that rose to 10 metres in some places.
